BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1976, Mayor Dumas was raised on the East Side of Attleboro and educated in the Attleboro Public School System. He was always active in student government where he was elected student representative and served on the school committee during his senior year of high school. Also during these years, he was inducted into the National Honor Society, a two-year member of the Track Team and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Upon graduating high school in 1994, he went on to further his education at Saint Michael’s College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business. During his studies at college, he interned at the State House for then Senator Matt Amorello (Grafton). It was there that he focused on constituent services.

After college, he worked in banking at Fleet National Bank and State Street Bank where he worked in the financial sector pricing stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. At State Street Bank, he was responsible for their largest client General Motors with over 10 billion in retirement assets. In his free time, he served as organist and cantor for various parishes for 7 years. He is currently a communicant of Saint John the Evangelist Church.

In November of 2003, Mayor Dumas was the youngest mayor elected in City history. With little to no financial resources, he and the Municipal Council were able to close out the last 6 months of the fiscal year with only $7,000 in cash.

Since that time, his administration has made a remarkable recovery with many accomplishments. Please view these accomplishments on this website. The Mayor has pushed the City forward on various fronts and would like to have your continued input as we move forward together. His constituent service hours have proven to be a successful way to listen and receive information from community members.

Mayor Dumas and his re-election campaign ask you for your support this election season. We certainly want to keep the progress and spirit building within our City in order to be the best municipality in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Best Wishes!
Dumas for Mayor
